Generations of Gardening
Steady Heart Farm and Flowers was founded on the gardening traditions passed down from my grandfather. Traditions that were passed from a father of six, to my mother, then on to me. Not only do I have the fulfillment of planting and cultivating stunning flowers from seed, but I get to reflect on my family's journey from a man who grew produce from a place of need, to me, who grows flowers out of joy. There is a real satisfaction from producing something beautiful and tangible from the work of your own two hands. It is not only a grounding experience, but an experience that personifies my connection with my late grandfather, my family, and my friends. Steady Heart Farm wishes to bring that same connection to you, through our flowers.
ABOUT STEADY HEART FARM
Steady Heart Farm & Flowers is a small farm located in Mechanicsville, Maryland. We grow a variety of flowers including zinnias, peonies, dahlias, and more! Steady Heart Farm works to cultivate beautiful floral arrangements to cater to your special occasions. Although we can only support individual orders and small events at this time, we look forward to expanding with each season. You can find us at local events and farmer's markets throughout Southern Maryland to get your hands on our flowers as well. The flowers grown at Steady Heart Farm are seasonal and weather dependent, so please inquire with us directly for your flower needs.
As mentioned in "Our Story", creating something beautiful from scratch is truly rewarding and that feeling translates to the kitchen too. Steady Heart Farm sells rustic sourdough and other cottage food products that pair deliciously with our homemade jams. We do our best to source all of our ingredients locally and organically with the goal to grow all of our berries and herbs right here on the farm. Monthly specials will be posted on our Facebook and in our website's order form to help bring seasonal homemade goods to your dinner table. Under the State of Maryland Cottage Food Law, cottage foods can only be sold locally, therefore no out of state orders will be accepted.
